The variana nursing home bed combines exactly these functionally flexible elements with economy and design.

Washable nursing bed

The variana nursing bed is equipped in series with the washability kit "Standard" and thus enables a flexible and quick cleaning of the bed in regular washing cycles.

However, if the daily care routine requires more frequent washing cycles, the variana can also be equipped with the "Premium" washability kit and can thus be configured to meet the needs of every facility. In this way, regular cleaning of the bed disinfects the frequent contact points and contributes to infection prevention.

SafeFree® Flex

In addition to the full-length side rails, the variana offers with the SafeFree® Flex side rails, as much freedom as possible and as much protection as required.

The bed offers a real support during mobilisation, the side rails of the variana can be easily configured according to need. All side rails are quickly removed without tools and can be retrofitted at any time.

Contribution to pressure injury prevention

The so-called double retraction has been a component of the wissner-bosserhoff lying surfaces for years. In this process, not only the backrest but also the leg rest is moved away from the seat section so that the surface area is increased.

Results of pressure measurements clearly show that the pressure load with the double retraction is considerably lower than with a standard lying surface.

SafeSense® the intelligent bed exit sensor system

With SafeSense®, wissner-bosserhoff presents an assistance system with intelligent sensor technology that reliably supports the reduction of deprivation of liberty day and night.
It is equipped with an automatic night light that is activated when the resident gets out of bed and goes out when the resident is back in bed.

SafeSense® is compatible with commercially available nurse call systems and can be retrofitted or upgraded for our nursing beds from 2002 onwards.

Intuitive operation

The washable hand control of the variana nursing beds impresses with its intuitive operability and good overview. The keys, which are illuminated when pressed, allow easy operation even at night. Individual functions can be locked quickly and easily via a key combination.
