Passive mattresses use different foam types to provide comfort, support and pressure relief. We offer a wide variety of passive mattresses made of standard polyurethane foam (PU foam), high resilient cold foam and viscoelastic foam, also known as memory foam. This allows you to select the perfect mattress for the individual resident’s needs.
Viscoelastic foam is often also known as memory foam. It reacts to body heat and body pressure. This causes the resident to sink gently into the mattress and adapt optimally to the individual body contours. The resulting pressure relief makes mattresses made of visco foam the best choice for pressure ulcer prevention.
High resilient cold foam is produced at lower temperatures by technological modification of standard polyurethane foam. Its open-cell structure makes it very breathable. Cold foam is durable, flexible and dimensionally stable with high point elasticity.
Standard foam (PU foam) refers to foams that quickly return to their original position after deformation. They have a high degree of elasticity and offer good support.

In addition to providing effective pressure ulcer prevention and a high level of lying and sleeping comfort, they also fulfil strict standards for quality, safety and hygiene.
In the event of a fire or other emergency, immobile residents cannot get themselves to safety. With the breathable evacuation cover, the resident can be secured directly to the mattress using two concealed straps and transported out of the danger zone using the head and foot straps.
The mattresses can support pressure ulcer prevention and also offer a high level of lying and sleeping comfort.
