Active mattresses, such as our Air2Care™, are used for residents at high risk of pressure ulcers or with existing pressure ulcers. They feature air chambers that are electrically operated with alternating pressure and automatically filled or emptied by a compressor. With its 2-cell alternating pressure, the Air2Care™ family can offer numerous advantages in the prevention of pressure ulcers as part of a targeted wound management strategy.
Air2Care™ is designed to deliver highly flexible and resident-specific pressure management, allowing targeted relief for vulnerable areas while also ensuring efficient handling, easy maintenance and adaptability to a wide range of clinical requirements.
The control unit offers an intuitive and intelligent system that automatically adjusts pressure settings based on the resident’s weight and position, while also providing flexible cycle time options to ensure optimal comfort and personalised therapy.
The 2-cell alternating pressure system redistributes the pressure in alternating pressure mode and thus ensures reperfusion in the areas of skin that are relieved.
With a simple turn of the CPR button, chest compressions can be started immediately with the mattress deflated. Alternatively, the air hose can be disconnected from the control unit.
