Furnishing concept memoriana awarded in Singapore
As part of the exhibition "Ageing Asia" the concept won the Eldercare Innovation Award in the category "Best dementia care product".

As part of the exhibition "Ageing Asia" the concept won the Eldercare Innovation Award in the category "Best dementia care product". After wissner-bosserhoff already won 14 European awards in just the last three years, this is the first Asian award for the Wickede company. The Eldercare Innovation Award was awarded on April 27, 2016 for the fourth time within the Ageing Asia, one of the most important international nursing fairs in Asia. From more than 150 applicantsan international jury of renowned nursing experts chose in 17 categories each one winner. Channel 8, one of the most important TV channels in Singapore reported on this event.
"Memoriana is part of a concept, which underlines the gentle therapeutic benefit for the residents. The side effects of dementia, such as agitation, restlessness and disorientation can be reduced. In our view memoriana is an appropriate measure to replace the mental and physical fixation. These aspects were particularly honored by the jury. We are very proud of this first award for our products in Asia, which also clearly underlines our dementia expertise.", said Christopher Loy, Area Sales Manager Asia/Australia after receiving the award.

With memoriana, wissner-bosserhoff has developed a room concept which is tailored to the special needs of dementia patients and provides nursing staff with great support in their routine. The success of memoriana underlines the growing demand for adequate furnishing solutions.
For memoriana, the innovative advancement of the successful room concept, the focus was not only on reducing the strain in nursing but above all on easing the emotional stress for those affected. The concrete implementation of new findings in maieutics and basal stimulation were essential starting points here. Part of this is the integration of sensoric stimulation with adventure panels and food and sensoric bars as well as door memory boxes which can be individually filled to help the residents find their room.
