With the sentida 5|6 range of low nursing beds, wissner-bosserhoff has achieved a consequent and above all uncompromising implementation of the requirements of modern nursing care: Greatest possible safety in combination with a cozy design.

To achieve this goal, the new generation of the successful sentida nursing home bed family relies on the continued development of innovative solutions like the 3-stop strategy, with the height adjustable to 27 cm for a safe sleeping position, 41 cm for ergonomic bed egress at chair height and 80 cm as the optimum height for comfortable and back-saving nursing care. The patented SafeFree side guard concept supports patient mobilization and implements important findings from the "Werdenfelser Weg" (Werdenfels care pathway) initiative and the Redufix project for patient safety. Due to the divided SafeFree solution individually adjustable to four heights, freedom-depriving measures can be reduced to a minimum.

Specifically for the two new beds, a design handset has been newly developed, elegantly and functionally combining particularly user-friendly features, as for example simplified light control.

The three safety levels, divided into nursing, resident and safety mode, are easy to adjust and select on the handset rear side.

In general, all beds of the sentida series are equipped with the tried and tested BiNetic system with double retraction, which, in contrast to other common patient surfaces, not only features a backrest in accordance with the requirements of the DBfK (German Nurses Association), but also leg rest retraction by 6 cm to ensure effective bedsore prevention.

Design and applied materials enable thorough and easy cleaning and disinfection of contaminated surfaces.

Another new feature is the optional antimicrobial coating, which is already applicable for sentida 5| 6 and sets standards in terms of long-term hygiene and MRSA prevention.

Functional eegance in nursing care

sentida 5 – the cozy bed

In the sentida 5 model, the focus is on cozy design. The completely covered castors with individual braking of each axle and the stylish undercarriage discretely fit into the respective interior design.

sentida 6 – the extra mobile bed

In the development of sentida 6, the focus was on mobility. Thanks to the 100 to 150 mm easy-roll or design castors and 4-castor central braking system, the low nursing bed can also be used for transport outside the patient's room without any problem.

The new generation of low nursing beds will, for the first time, be presented to the specialist audience in Nuremberg at the “Altenpflege” trade show from April 9 to 11, 2013.
