Erkan Sahin, managing director of wissner-bosserhoff in the Netherlands and Belgium, is pleased to receive a very special award. This year, he was one of three finalists put forward by the Dutch network “The Other Network” for selection as manager of the year. At the festive gala in Amsterdam he convinced the jury with a brilliant final speech and was awarded second place.

“The Other Network” is a multicultural network of successful entrepreneurs, managers and specialists, who build on the strength of intercultural diversity. The network offers its members, including such organizations as Air France, KLM and SNS Bank, a business and social platform that emphasizes cultural diversity against the background of growing globalization. The goal is to create a “more varied,” multifaceted business world. The highlight of its work is “The Other Network” gala that has been held every year since 2005. Members who have rendered outstanding services on behalf of the network are presented with awards at the gala. “The distinction of being named one of the finalists for manager of the year is a great acknowledgement of my work.

After all, one thing is certain: Economic success and growth are simply no longer possible without an understanding of international and therefore multicultural relations,” says Erkan Sahin. “Being awarded second place this year has also stirred up my personal ambition because there’s still room for improvement,” the managing director added with a chuckle. The media also took up the topic in numerous articles. Especially worth listening to is the interview with the three finalists for "top manager of the year" on the Dutch radio station Radio 5 at http://dichtbijnederland.ntr.nl/ .

As an internationally active company, the LINET Group SE is proud that individual employees, like Erkan Sahin, are committed to intercultural and global projects in such an exceptional way.
